Today jazz is heavily influenced by popular music and as such the world has seen the emergence of a range of urban, street influenced dance styles including funk, which can be seen in pop music videos, and hip hop, which is widely used in R&B music videos. Jazz is a fun and energetic style of dance which is now mostly used in musical theatre and stage shows. Jazz combines the technical aspects of a ballet class with the latest dynamic jazz moves and rhythms.

Tap

Tap dancing began in the late 1800's in African-American communities of the USA and has been one of the worlds most popular dance styles ever since. Groups including the tap dogs, boot men and stomp have greatly increased the popularity of the style in the past decade or so, following in the footsteps of legendary tap masters Gregory Hines and Bill "Bojangles" Robinson. Tap is an excellent dance style for developing musicality, rhythm, co-ordination and timing.

Classical Ballet (RAD)

Beauty, flow and elegance are inherent in the elements of classical ballet. Ballet is the classical dance style which can be mastered on it's own, or used as a technical base and foundation for all other dance styles.
Classical Ballet is a very technical style of dance which provides students with the basics of correct posture, coordination and muscle strength. The physical benefits derived from classical ballet can help enormously when engaging in most other forms of physical activity.

Glee Club (GC)

Group Singing Acting & Movement

Our Glee Club Group Singing Acting & Movement classes are terrific fun and are a fantastic way of developing a students self confidence and a much greater level of self-esteem.

The JRE Glee Club also provides the student with an excellent opportunity to learn to become a more socially aware team player, as well as a more self reliant and independent individual.

The excellent tuition, and the sense of personal achievement and pride it instills in students, has been proven to assist with many day to day activities, including school work, and can greatly enhance the students general communication skills.

This fantastic class also teaches students how to be a television and live event presenter, and students are strongly encouraged to practice the "tricks of the trade" they have learned by co hosting a number of JRE concerts and live events.

JRE has a great reputation for providing exceptional competition preparation classes and can assist those students with a strong desire to compete to get the best out of every performance.
JRE students have always performed extremely well in dance & singing competitions over the past 7 years and have achieved fantastic results.
